Charizard

This Charizard comes from the earliest printing of Japan’s 1996 Expansion Pack, the set that launched the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Its missing rarity star identifies the “No Rarity” version, produced before the symbol appeared on later printings. Mitsuhiro Arita’s illustration would reach English collectors through Base Set in 1999, making this an early Japanese appearance of that familiar artwork.
