Metagross

Metagross marked a first for the Gold Star series: it was the first normally evolved Pokémon to receive the treatment, appearing as a Basic Pokémon instead of requiring Beldum and Metang. Illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda in its Shiny form, it debuted in Japan’s Holon Research Tower in October 2005 and joined Groudon and Kyogre as the three Gold Stars in the English EX Delta Species release.
